A fire tore through Moyer Winery in Adams County early Thursday morning. The longstanding restaurant and venue was slated to be a home base for the historic Showboat Majestic riverboat.
Fire crews responded to the winery in Adams County about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, according to dispatchers.
A firefighter was hurt battling the blaze and taken to Meadowview Regional Medical Center, dispatchers said. His condition had not been reported at the time of this report.
Manchester firefighters called in help from West Union, Ripley, Aberdeen, Wayne Township and Russellville to help extinguish the fire.
Moyer Winery sits at 3859 U.S. 52 in the village of Manchester. It was established in 1972, according to the winery's Facebook page.
