Township officials are considering asking voters to approve a fire department levy in the November election. Township fire Chief James Pantalone is expected to give a presentation on the fire department’s finances at the July 10 trustee meeting. Trustee Rick Clark said one of the township’s fire stations is not open full time because it can’t be staffed, even though the call volume is up. “The fire department has their backs up against the wall financially,” Clark said. The township has until Aug. 7 to submit levy paperwork to the Trumbull County Board of Elections to make the November ballot.
