One was shoveling snow and the other was in the shower when their hearts stopped working. First responders rushed into their homes and saved their lives.
"I didn't realize there were so many people involved in saving my life, and it was a super feeling," said Tim Roedersheimer, who survived cardiac arrest.
On Jan. 14, Roedersheimer had chest pain after shoveling snow outside his business, Deerfield Press on Harrison Avenue.
"The squad made me feel so easy. They were incredible. I think that's one thing -- if they would have been upset, that would have made me upset," said Roedersheimer.
On Valentine's Day in 2018, Melissa Leath collapsed outside her sister's bedroom door. Her sister, Katrina, started CPR.
