An apartment buildingat 117½ Pleasant Avenue that is home to 10 people was hit by a fire early Thanksgiving morning. The fire was called in at 6:46 a.m. When Mansfield firefighters arrived, they found fire venting from a second-floor window of the apartment building. All occupants made it out safely. The bulk of the fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes. A small dog was unaccounted for. According to a report from the city fire department, the fire started in a bedroom. The cause is under investigation. The Richland County division of the American Red Cross was called to assist the people who lived in the building. There were five adults and two children at 117½ Pleasant and three adults at 117 Pleasant.
