A Toledo firefighter was sent to the hospital with minor injuries after he fell through the upper floor of a vacant house while fighting a fire early Monday. According to the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, the call came in at about 4 AM for a fire at a vacant home on the 800 block of Geneva Avenue near Arlington. During the efforts to put out that fire, the firefighter fell through the second floor and was taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated. He is expected to be okay. Firefighters said they expected to remain on the scene of that fire until at least 6 AM Monday. Geneva Avenue has been closed at Arlington while they continue those efforts. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
