Cincinnati firefighter tests positive for coronavirus, City Council President says

A firefighter with the Cincinnati Fire Department has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a tweet from City Council President Chris Seelbach.The District 1 firefighter’s test came back on Saturday and confirmed a positive case of the coronavirus, says Matt Alter, President Cincinnati Fire Fighters Union local 48. The firefighter’s coronavirus test was taken several weeks ago, but Alter says the results didn’t come back till Saturday. Alter says the firefighter is feeling better and on his way to a full recovery. "We believe it is job-related, but can’t say for sure,” Alter told FOX19 NOW when asked how the firefighter contracted the virus.
