Cincinnati Police and Cincinnati Fire have successfully rescued a dog from the flood zone Friday morning. Police said officers were in the 5900 block of Berte Street in California attempting to rescue a dog on a log in the Ohio River. Police announced the rescue attempt around 9:15 a.m. By 10:40, Cincinnati Police announced the dog had been retrieved by firefighters and was in the care of the Cincinnati SPCA. "The dog was in a flooded backwater near I-275 when we got to him," police said. It was 16 degrees outside our K9 friend was rescued, according to police.
