One man was badly injured in a fire that damaged a Crestline home Monday evening. Five people were in the 820 N. Seltzer St. home when the fire started, Crestline fire Chief Steve Krock said Tuesday morning. "They said they smelled smoke, and the husband went to investigate and the bathroom was on fire," Krock said. "He opened the door and he got burnt." The fire department took the man to a local hospital; Krock said he believed the man had been transferred to a Columbus hospital. The rest of the family was in a room at the opposite end of the house and were able to get out of the house through a back door. "We're trying to assist with the Red Cross and some stuff that we have here at Crestline Fire for folks that have these misfortunes," Krock said. "Hopefully everything will get better for them — they have little kids, they had no insurance, so they're going to be in the need of just about everything."
