As the COVID pandemic wears on, the Trumbull County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will enter a new phase of its operations. The EOC will demobilize Friday but will still be functional. The 15 to 18 person crew has been working seven days a week for the last nine weeks. Demobilizing the center will put them into standby mode. Howland Fire Chief Jim Pantalone says the change is a sign that the high impact period of the pandemic has slowed for now. He says while the EOC is moving into standby mode, people should still follow measures from the state to protect themselves from the coronavirus
