The Elyria Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that killed former South Amherst firefighter Bryon Wolf Sept. 26.
The crash occurred on Island Road near Dye Road in Eaton Township around 12 a.m., according to a news release.
A South Amherst Fire Department Facebook post said Wolf was a firefighter with the department from 2015 to 2020.
A 2011 Victory motorcycle, driven by Wolf, 41, of Grafton, was traveling south on Island Road when it veered off the left side of the roadway and hit a sign.
Wolf was flung from the motorcycle before it came to rest in a yard, the release said.
