A chihuahua was brought back to life, a mobile home was preserved and two firemen suffered heat exhaustion when fire agencies responded to a Crescent community structure fire on Beechwood Avenue Tuesday evening.
Oregon Outback Fire Chief Jerry Crenshaw said they responded to the mobile home fire around 6:40 p.m. Crescent Fire District and Walker Range Fire Patrol assisted, and three engines and three water tanks responded.
Crenshaw said the mobile home suffered water damage but remained relatively intact from the fire.
“There’s still all four walls standing and most of the roof, so all three departments need some praise on doing a good job on a mobile home in a rural area,” he said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
