Crashed semi-truck catches fire, closes I-5 northbound near Albany for 3 hours

A fiery semi-truck crash closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 south of Albany Thursday morning. The Oregon Department of Transportation says the crash occurred around 5:50 a.m., three miles south of Albany. Oregon State Police say the semi-truck is the only vehicle involved in the crash and no injuries have been reported. Police reopened one northbound lane around 9 a.m. while crews continue clean-up efforts in the area. All lanes were back open by 9:44 a.m.
