A mobile home fire in west Eugene left a woman homeless but thankful to be alive. Flames broke out around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rosewood mobile home park on North Terry. Next door neighbors were grilling when they smelled smoke and jumped into action. One man grabbed a garden hose and another helped rescue a woman who was still inside the burning house. "And that's when I went across and got the lady out," Anthony Adame said. "I just moved some gas cans away from the fire." The woman and her dog were able to make it out safely, but the home is a total loss. Fire officials say the blaze started in the kitchen.
