Investigators are working to determine the cause of a house fire that started in Northeast Portland Tuesday morning. Crews responded to Northeast Summerplace Drive just before 3 a.m. Officials say the fire started in the back of the home and spread to a crawl space, making it more difficult for firefighters to extinguish the flames. They were forced to cut through a floor to reach the fire. Everyone inside the home made it out safely.
