Dump truck swept off road by flood waters triggers rescue in Benton County

PHOTO: Firefighters from Corvallis rescued the people in a dump truck swept off a Benton County road by flood waters Tuesday. "A dump truck tried to navigate flooded county roads this morning and was swept into a ditch," the City of Corvallis reports. "The passengers were stranded until rescue teams were able to retrieve them safely." Thanks to the first responders from Benton County Sheriff's Office, Monroe Fire, Harrisburg Fire & Rescue, Junction City Fire & Rescue, and Corvallis Fire Department who assisted in this rescue.
