A fire burning at the Howard Buford Recreation Area on Mount Pisgah is not expected to grow, Oregon Department of Forestry officials say. The fire started on the southeast side of Mt. Pisgah at about noon on Thursday and grew to 51.15 acres. It's now 75% contained. Officials said there are 60 people on site. The Pisgah Fire should be out by Sunday, officials said. The park will remain closed to all visitors throughout the weekend, and no one will be allowed to enter. Kevin Bourgault, who lives behind the mountain, said it's not surprising Mt. Pisgah went up in flames. "This wasn't unanticipated," Bourgault said. "We were actually talking about this in the community here like when it was going to go up. " Visitors evacuated the park on Thursday using the main entrance near Seavey Loop on Thursday. County officials said trails 7, 8 and 9 on the east side of Mount Pisgah were most affected.
