Authorities have cleared the scene of a crash involving an ambulance and another vehicle in Eugene Thursday evening. Around 7 p.m. Thursday, a Eugene-Springfield Fire ambulance collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Chambers Street while the ambulance was responding to a call, police said. A Eugene police official said the ambulance was northbound on Chambers St. when the collision occurred at at 6th & Chambers. The other car was a passenger vehicle with two people inside. They were transported to Riverbend hospital with minor injuries. There were two firefighters inside the ambulance and no patients. Police said the two firefighters are fine and suffered no injuries.
