Forest Grove Fire is working to rescue a person trapped in a vehicle in Gales Creek Friday morning. The fire department tweeted around 8:45 a.m. saying the passenger’s head is above water and crews are confident they can rescue the person. The driver in the vehicle made it out and was on shore when crews arrived. Fire officials say the vehicle crashed into the creek after a pursuit on Highway 6. Firefighters say the vehicle was badly damaged in the crash.
