A train collided with a truck trailer that hadn't cleared the tracks at a crossing in an industrial area of Eugene on Monday morning, fire officials at the scene said. Firefighters at the scene on McDougal Lane, just east off Highway 99, said a tractor-trailer hadn't made over the railroad crossing before the engine of a train hit the rear of the trailer. Dispatch logs show fire crews were called to the scene just after 11:30 a.m. Officials said the driver was transported to the hospital. There's no word yet on the driver's identity. His injuries were described as minor by first responders at the scene.
