Firefighters battled tall flames in Southeast Portland early Thursday morning when a van caught fire. Crews responded to Southeast 87th Avenue and Insley Street around 2 a.m. for a report of the fire. When they arrived, more than half the van was engulfed in flames. Crews managed to get the fire under control. There’s no word yet if anyone was injured.
