A child was taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries after falling from the second-story window of a Wilsonville apartment around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Lydia Woodman said the child fell about 7.5 feet from an apartment window on Southwest Tami Loop, landing facedown on bark chips. She said the child might have life-threatening injuries, but she did not know what they were. She also did not confirm the gender or age of the child. Several children in the Portland metro area have fallen from windows in the last few weeks, including a child in Vancouver and one in Bethany. Hours after the child in Wilsonville fell, Forest Grove Fire Department tweeted that a 2-year-old child in the Forest Grove area had fallen out of a window, with non-life threatening injuries.
