Multiple agencies respond to fully involved Cave Junction house fire

VIDEO: Multiple fire agencies have responded to a fully engulfed house fire in Cave Junction early Monday evening. The started on the 400-block of Schumacher Street at a single-story home. The fire spread to a neighboring home, but crews were able to knock it down quickly, according to Ned Booth of the Illinois Valley Fire District. According to neighbors, no occupants were in the home at the time of the fire. No one suffered injuries however, two dogs died. The initial home was deemed a total loss. Two vehicles parked in the driveway near the residence suffered damage as well. Grants Pass Fire and Rural Metro Fire were on-scene assisting along with AMR, Pacific Power and Oregon Department of Forestry. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
