Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire and Rescue said Tuesday that the arson suspect who admitted to starting a massive four-alarm fire in Northeast Portland in August and two other fires in September may be connected to more Portland fires from the past couple years.
The suspect, 39-year-old Allen Singerhouse, was arrested when law enforcement served search warrants on Nov. 21. He is charged with three counts of first-degree arson.
According to court documents, Allen Singerhouse said he intentionally set two fires near Northeast 82nd Avenue on Aug. 26, 2019. The flames grew, creating a fast-moving brush fire that spread to several nearby buildings.
