Crews were called out on Friday (Oct. 11) at about 4:15 p.m. on reports of a house fire on Ridge Point Drive. They managed to keep the flames contained to the garage. While fighting the fire, a shelfing unit collapsed and Lt. Penge ended up trapped under the shelf and its contents He was taken to the hospital and was released hours later with some soreness in his neck and a headache, but no other injuries. Some of the stuff that fell from the shelf hit Captain Smith in the leg.
