VIDEO: A bomb squad located "a believed explosive device and rendered it safe" in the aftermath of a fiery crash that killed the driver of a car that had sped away from a deputy Wednesday on the Oregon Coast. "It might take a while to identify the deceased as there was a fire following the crash," Oregon State Police said. "Deceased was the lone occupant." The fiery wreckage of a vehicle could be seen burning in the trees along Highway 101 in eyewitness videos captured Wednesday morning. Police said the crash happened after a Douglas County Sheriff deputy tried to stop a vehicle south of Reedsport around 10:46 a.m. The vehicle sped away and crashed, police said. The crash killed the driver. The car went up in flames. "What appeared to be explosive devices were located at the scene and the Oregon State Police Explosives Unit is heading to the scene," according to state police. The highway reopened to traffic shortly after 4 p.m.
