Jackson County Fire District Three is monitoring the remnants of a morning house fire that left three people homeless. Jackson County Fire District 3 division chief Dave Blakely said that firefighters kept the fire to a single structure at 212 West Gregory Road near Central Point. Nadean Pastor said that she was the first discovered the fire in the trailer house where she has lived for seven years. She told NewsWatch 12 that she grabbed her daughter and ran to notify neighbors. Blakely said that fire crews were at the fire in six minutes after its initial report around 8:30 this morning. First responders saw flames and blocked the road off for fire trucks. Pastor thanked firefighters and her neighbors, including one who gave her the shoes off her feet. Red Cross is assisting the two adults and child left victims of today’s fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the FD3 Deputy Fire Marshal was on the scene.
