Lebanon fire crews battled a house fire late Saturday evening in the 100 block of S. Williams Street. When the Incident Commander arrived, smoke was coming from the eaves and front door. Firefighters were able to make access through the front door but were pulled back due to the fire conditions. Crews sent water streams through a bedroom window and cut holes in the roof to allow for smoke and hot gases to escape. Once the fire was extinguished, the family dog was found but did not make it due to smoke conditions. The family was not home at the time. No firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
