Woman rescued from house fire in Eugene

New details on the breaking news from Tuesday morning, as we have dramatic video of firefighters rescuing a woman from a house fire. The call came just after 7 a.m. when Eugene Springfield fire say when they arrived. Black smoke and flames were coming from the second floor of this house on Lawrence Street. We're told four to five families live in this home, and everyone made it out except one woman, trapped by smoke and flames. "We had a patient victim that was hanging outside of the window," said Mike Barnebey, the Battalion Chief, with Eugene Springfield Fire. "Our firefighters initially went into rescue mode so they deployed ladders. They were able to pick out the victim, brought her down the ladder. We had an ambulance on the scene and transferred her quickly to the ambulance and transported her code 3 to the hospital."
