One person has died and another remains in critical condition after four people were rescued from a capsized boat off the Oregon coast Saturday, according to the US Coast Guard.
During the rescue, crews said two people were found unconscious, and the other two were alert when they were pulled from a 38-foot fishing vessel that was overturned at the entrance of the Tillamook bar. All four were immediately taken to the hospital. In a Sunday update, the Coast Guard confirmed one person had passed away. Another person in critical condition has been transported to a Portland hospital via LifeFlight.
The condition of the other two passengers is unknown.
It is unclear at this time what caused the boat to capsize.
