A mobile home caught fire in Winston on Monday. Officials responded to 981 Winston Section Rd., at 2:06 a.m. for a reported house on fire. A 911 caller also said a woman was screaming "fire." The female occupant escaped to safety before firefighters arrived. She was the only one living in the mobile home. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The cause is currently under investigation. Winston Dillard Fire District and Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded to the incident with 14 firefighters, including four fire engines, a water tender and a command vehicle.
