Firefighters put out a 3-alarm fire at an apartment building in Northeast Portland on Tuesday afternoon, and investigators deemed the blaze suspicious. Firefighters tell KATU a man was taken into custody. Portland Fire & Rescue crews were initially called out before 4 p.m. on reports of a fire in the 5300 block of Northeast Cully Boulevard. Fire officials quickly called out a second and third alarm for the fire. Crews had the fire out by about 5:15 p.m. Although there were no serious injuries, people living at the Hacienda CDC said they did worry about safety. "I thought it was going to spread into more of the apartments because when I saw it was small, but then after it kept going towards the left and I thought the whole apartment was going to, like, blow up," Yasleen Caamal said.
