Holiday Farm Fire victims are still rebuilding and restarting over a year later. The Hope on Wheels project was designed to provide housing across Lane County. Since the fire, the program has donated 8 units to fire victims. We spoke to one man as he received the RV that he now calls home. Since the fire happened, 18 -year-old Joel Bailey-Villegas spent his time couch hopping. Now, he has a new start to life. "I was kinda being a bum, doing nothing," Bailey-Villegas tells us, "now that I have this, I can do stuff and not have to rely on other people for much." A sense of security comes with the set of keys he now has, as he embarks on the next chapter of his life - a chapter he gets to write. "If I have my own place, I have my own space - got everything. Then, the next step of my life starts - graduate school then try to go to another trade school for like welding."
