Officials said one person was injured in a fast-moving house fire in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The fire broke out around 6 a.m. on the 6600 block of Lynford Street. Fire crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the second floor of the row house. Firefighters rescued a 15-year-old girl from the rear of the home. Medics treated her for smoke inhalation, then transported her to the hospital in serious condition. The fire was placed under control a short time later. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist.
