The Aston Township Fire Department's Spring Carnival has been permanently shut down after a brawl broke out Thursday night.
Police said toward the end of the night at the Delaware County carnival, around 9:30 p.m., a large crowd started to gather and several fights broke out.
According to police, there were initial reports of possible shots being fired and guns being pulled, but those reports proved to be unfounded.
Officers at the scene on the 2900 block of Dutton Mill Road called for assistance from multiple police departments for crowd control.
They broke up the crowds and several people were arrested.
