Assistant Chief Walter Wagaman, of the Buchanan Valley Volunteer Fire Department in Adams County, died this week. The 46-year-old firefighter had been hospitalized since Aug. 2, when he was injured after being thrown from a firetruck that was responding to a call. Funeral services for Wagaman are scheduled for Sunday. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Gettysburg High School, followed by a service at 4 p.m.
