VIDEO: A tractor-trailer hauling pineapples and bananas along the Pennsylvania Turnpike burst into flames near the Morgantown interchange (Exit 298) in Berks County. The fire was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes, between mileposts 296.6 and 296.5, in Caernarvon Township. No one was injured, officials said. Both westbound lanes were initially closed while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. The left lane was eventually reopened to allow traffic to pass by the scene, but a 10-mile backup remained through the evening rush hour.
