The family of a Kunkle Fire Company firefighter who was hit by a dump truck and severely injured last fall has filed a suit alleging the driver and related businesses were negligent in causing the crash. Edward Nulton Sr., 62, was directing traffic at the scene of an accident in Monroe Twp., Wyoming County, early the morning of Sept. 21 when he was hit by the dump truck. According to the complaint filed by the Kingston-based O’Donnell Law Offices, Nulton was incapacitated as a result of the crash and remains hospitalized at Allied Rehabilitation Hospital in Scranton. The lawsuit names as defendants Alan D. Shaver Sr. of Dallas and his companies, Shaver & Sons, Inc. and Dominic’s Equipment Rentals, Sales and Service. Also named are the truck driver, Jack Husband Jr. of Harveys Lake and Dushore-based Rexer’s LLC, for whom Husband was hauling materials.
