Five people were rushed to the hospital this morning after their Wynnefield home caught fire overnight. Action News was on the scene around 3 a.m. Saturday on the 2100 block of North 50th Street. When we arrived we saw firefighters surrounding one of the victims. Lifesaving work had begun. As soon as medics could, they rushed him to Lankenau Hospital. He is now in critical condition with serious burns and smoke inhalation. Two other victims, ages 28 and 25, are in stable condition at Lankenau Hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire department says those victims had to bust out the second story windows and jump in order to escape.
