The Johnstown fire chief confirmed that a few bricks fell from the top of the Conrad Building in downtown Johnstown on Wednesday.
Chief Bob Statler says he believes the building is structurally stable, but as a precaution, barricades were put in place restricting traffic to one lane along Vine and Franklin streets.
He is asking people to stay out of the sidewalk and barricaded areas near the vacant building.
In the meantime, Statler says the department is trying to gather more information on the building, including who owns it.
