A 22-year-old man perished in a fire on Saturday, Sept. 19 at a residence in Sheshequin Township, the coroner confirmed.
Avery Boss died in the fire, said Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman.
Boss, who had Down syndrome, lived in the residence with his mother, Lisa Boss, Carman confirmed.
Avery Boss was home alone when the fire broke out, said Ulster-Sheshequin Fire Chief Josh Gardner. Lisa Boss returned home and discovered that her house was on fire, Gardner said.
The fire destroyed the residence, which is a trailer that had additions onto its front and back. The residence is located on Milkweed Lane, off of E. Warner Hill Road.
Firefighters were dispatched to the residence at 1:29 p.m.
When they arrived on scene, the house was already engulfed in flames, Gardner said.
