A fire at a home in the City of Erie created smoke that could be seen from blocks away Wednesday afternoon. It broke out around 3:45 p.m. at a multi-family home in the 400 block of W. 5th St. Firefighters sprayed water on the home and opened up the eves. Smoke also escaped through a hole in the roof. No injuries were reported.
