Making the community safer. The City of York welcomes four new firefighters.
“The first thing is the camaraderie and the brotherhood,” said Paul Vincent Jr., York City Probationary Firefighter.
Four young men took the oath of the city today, now a part of the department. Each of the rookies decided to follow the career path for different reasons, with two following in the family footsteps. But whatever the reason, serving the community remains the main goal. “It’s the purpose of doing something for others above oneself. It’s more about the community than about us. I want to be here for the greater good of the community,” Vincent Jr. said.
