A Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 12, 2021) motor vehicle accident at the intersection of West Ridge Pike and Rupert Road, involving a mid-sized Custer’s Garage Inc. school bus and a pick-up truck, ended with the bus flipped on its side and significant damage to both vehicles. They were towed from the scene. There were no injuries among the three people involved, police said, and no children were aboard the bus at the time. The accident occurred at 1:56 p.m., according to Montgomery County emergency dispatchers, on what police said was the Limerick Township side of the border between it and Lower Pottsgrove. Rupert Road intersects West Ridge Pike there, with a Turkey Hill convenience store on the northwest corner. West Ridge Pike becomes East High Street west of the townships’ line.
