One person is dead after a fire early Friday morning in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, officials said. Flames were first reported shortly before 3 a.m. at a home on McIntosh Drive. Firefighters said there was a report of someone trapped inside the home when they were called to battle the flames. By the time they got there, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Neighbors said they heard an explosion. A coroner was called to the scene not long after firefighters got to the home. One person died, but other people inside the home were able to get out, officials said. “I was just hoping that the people got out safely,” Mark Alviani, a neighbor, said. “The home can be rebuilt, but you can’t replace a life. I was just hoping that everybody got out safely, but it happened so quick.”
