Overnight, a deadly fire ripped through a residential neighborhood in Luzerne County.
Crews were called to a single-family home along the 700 block of 1st Street in Nescopeck around 2:30 Friday morning.
At a news conference Friday morning, state police investigators said three people died in the fire, and they believe there may be more victims. Troopers did not say how many were able to get out. The victims range in age from 6 to 70, according to state police.
The home was destroyed in the fire.
The Luzerne County coroner and a state police fire marshal are also on scene investigating.
Newswatch 16 talked to a neighbor who lives across the street who said he woke up around 3 a.m. to a loud popping noise he thought was a gunshot.
