Centre Square Fire Chief Lee Miller Dies

Longtime devoted public servant and current Centre Square Fire Chief Lee Miller has died, officials said. A cause of death was not immediately announced. Miller has served as fire chief with Centre Square since 2006 and has been with the company since 1995. He leaves behind a wife Sue, children Courtney and Jesse, and grandson Bodhi. "Chief had a calm, steadfast demeanor which he used to guide the company throughout his many years in leadership positions," Centre Square said in sharing news of his death. "Lee was the definition of a public servant and one that truly loved his community. He will be greatly missed by all who he crossed paths with throughout his career." Along with serving as fire chief, Miller was employed for 40 years with Whitpain Township, including roles as parks superintendent and assistant public works director.
