How did three Harrisburg area dads and sons spend Father’s Day 2022?
They wound up running to a Sunday afternoon fire at an Enola home that significantly damaged the building and displaced its residents.
Kenny Moore and son Jacob, 17, Don Dolbin and son Kyle, 18, and Bobby Myers with sons Ayden Myers, 14, and Alec Kessler, 17, spent the breezy afternoon as part of the group of East Pennsboro Township firefighters who worked to put out the blaze at the home on the 100 block of Adams Street.
Ayden Myers said it was the first time that he joined his father at a fire.
Personnel from six different fire companies responded at 12:25 p.m. to the home and the fire was declared under control at 1:07 p.m., according to John Bruetsch, Cumberland County’s public information officer.
