Five people were injured in an explosion at a medical marijuana plant in Fulton County, authorities said.
Crews were called shortly before noon Wednesday to the Ilera Healthcare facility on North Hess Road in Taylor Township.
"Just a report of an explosion. All we know is the incinerator blew up inside the building itself. And we checked it, and there was no further damage to the inside of the building," said Darius Deshong, with the Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Company.
"State police fire marshal was contacted to come in because of it being an explosion with injuries for them to be able to check the situation," Fulton County EMA Director Brian Barton said.
Authorities said two of the victims suffered burns and were airlifted to a hospital.
