Second-alarm fire burns through 3 buildings in Ashland

VIDEO: A fire that broke out in Schuylkill County Saturday evening continued into Sunday morning. According to Schuylkill County Communication Center a fire in Ashland broke out around 8:15 p.m. on Saturday and was extinguished at about 10:45 a.m. Envelope of cash found in central PA, PSP looking for owner The fire broke out on the 1000 block of West Centre Street in Ashland, officials say. Schuylkill County Communication Center notes the second-alarm fire burned at least three buildings. One tenant says the hardest part was watching everything go up in smoke. “It’s um, it’s devastating, to be honest. I’ve never lost everything in 20 minutes. So, I’m 50 and been collecting things that I love and things like that over my lifetime, and I just watched it go up in 20 minutes,” said fire victim Taja Dixon.
