VIDEO: Like many other small town volunteer fire departments, Starbrick Volunteer Fire Department in Conewango Township is struggling to find volunteers. Wednesday night, they hosted a town hall at their station to get members of the community to sign up. Starbrick Fire Chief Kirk Foust said as of Wednesday night, they only have five or six people who are doing everything and it is starting to become hard to do. "The five or six that we have now we can not keep going like this, it is actually probably worse than a job it is becoming a burden," Foust said. He said if you want to help out in any way, they will have tasks for you to do. "If you want be a firefighter, that is fine, if you want to sweep floors, if you want to clean equipment, mow lawns, fix anything in the fire hall, that is all help," he said.
